‍‍‍‍In the southern part of Tibet, there was a bunch of tourists from Canada that ‍‍‍‍have come to take pictures of Tibetan culture and their daily life. Their was a man named Matthew that loved to take pictures more than anyone else in the group. The tourist guide told everyone," Take a break" and everyone took a break except for Matthew. Instead , he went to take pictures on top of the Himalayas to get a great view of Tibet.

Matthew leaned on the edge of the mountain but accidently tripped on a ice and tumbled down. When he finished tumbling, a bunch of snow trapped him to the ground. Matthew was hurt really badly but he still tried to move. Luckily, Matthew was saved by a Shepard called Choenyi . Choenyi carried Matthew all the way to her tent and called an doctor closest to her tent. The doctor later told her that Matthew broke his leg and hand. So now that Matthew broke his leg and hand, he had to stay in Choeyni's tent for awhile.

The next day, Choenyi's sister Tsering came from her college to Choenyi's home. Tsering came from England because she was an scholarship student and it was a two month vacation. Tsering became a great help to Matthew and Choenyi because if Tsering didn't come , then Matthew and Choenyi still would've had problems talking to each other. For example, Matthew spoke English and Choenyi spoke Tibetan. So it was really hard for each other to understand each other and Tsering knew both of the languages.

Choenyi and Tsering fed Matthew until he was healthy and able to walk. As the days past, Matthew started taking pictures again and walked without anybody's assistance. Which made Choenyi and Tsering really proud.

One day,Tsering went to shop at the village market to buy some food. She went to the bulletin board that had the weekly news and saw a poster that had these words printed on them ,"Tourist: Matthew James Lost and Reward if found- 500 dollars" .She could hardly hold herself up from fainting.when she caught her balance, she started running home as fast as she could.

When she got home , she told her sister about the poster and said, "We will get 500 dollars if we just call the number that is written on the poster."

Then Choenyi told Tsering, "There is no phone near this village but there is a phone at a store called Lhasa Ghonpo." But it will take 2 days to get there by feet.

Tsering agreed to walk there and make a phone call. She was almost about to leave when a man named Tenzin Lhakpa called, "Is anybody home."

Tsering opened the tent door for him to come in. When Tenzin Lhakpa came in, he told Tsering and Choenyi that he was here to take Matthew back to Canada. He gave 500 dollars to them and told Matthew to get ready. When Matthew was done packing his stuff he told Tsering to tell Choenyi he will come back to Tibet with his family to marry her.

2 months later.........................

When Matthew comes back from Canada, he found out that Choeyni's uncle has already promised another woman that her son could marry Choeyni. But Matthew doesn't give up easily.

He tries to show that he really cares about Choenyi and even offers the woman and the uncle 500 dollars each. When Matthew asked the woman whose son was going to marry Choenyi if she would let him marry Choeyni and that he will give her 500 dollars, she said ,"ok". She said yes because of the money but also because she truly believed that Choenyi deserved a great man like Matthew.

Matthew goes back to the uncle's house and tells him that the woman agreed for Matthew to marry to Choenyi. Now the uncle didn't have a choice so he let Matthew marry Choenyi.

Matthew and Choenyi have a grand wedding, celebrated in tibetan and they invite everyone from Choeyni's village, her family and friends.
